The war in Ukraine is still raging, and the population is paying the heaviest price. We would like to help however we can.
This year, we have chosen to support internally displaced persons in Ukraine - and we hope that you will help make a difference.
Earlier this year, DILLING commenced production in Ukraine. For a long time, we have wanted to expand our production capacity in Europe, and Ukraine was on our radar, even prior to the war, because they are recognised sewing manufacturers known for their high quality of work and excellent skills working with textiles.
We were already in dialogue with the sewing facility, Lesya, when Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022. During the following months, the dialogue of a permanent collaboration continued, and in July 2022 the first DILLING products left the factory in Novohrad-Volynskyi, which is in the northwestern part of Ukraine.
Currently, we have 30 seamstresses sewing for DILLING. The goal for 2023 is to increase the number of seamstresses to 50 and produce 12,000 pieces of clothing a week.
Since the war began, many civilians have been forced to flee their homes. Right now, in the Novohrad-Volynskyi area, where Lesya is located, around 10,000 refugees are currently living as internally displaced persons.
In a time of war and international energy crisis, many Ukrainians may face winter without heating, water, or electricity. In winter, the average temperature in Ukraine often drops below freezing, which can worsen an already critical situation.
With your help, we will donate 20% of the turnover from Friday 25.11.22 The money from the donation will, among other things, go towards purchasing 600 merino wool lined jackets as well as warm clothing, blankets, bags for food storage and necessary hygiene products, so the internally displaced persons in Novohrad-Volynskyi can keep warm.
We are cooperating with Lesya and the Ukrainian humanitarian non-profit organisation, Valkiria, which also has a Danish partnership with the organisation "Save Ukraine". Together, we can ensure that the investments are distributed to the people who need it the most.
We hope that together we can make a difference for Ukraine.
