Careguide

A long-lasting wardrobe

The first step to a long-lasting wardrobe is proper care. By investing in timeless, high-quality products and caring for your garments, you can help reduce consumption and thereby the burden on our climate.

With two collections per year and multiple design repeats, we always aim to design timeless garments you can keep for years. With more than a century of expertise in our field, we create long-life garments made from organic and natural materials.

Storage

Lay your woollen clothing flat to dry and store them by folding and stacking them neatly in your closet or drawer. This helps to avoid stretching. If you plan to store your knitwear during summer, we suggest reading our guide to avoiding moths here.

Washing and drying

Clothes made from merino wool require less washing as it is odour resistant and naturally antibacterial. For that reason, we recommend taking a thoughtful approach to washing by washing no more than necessary. Take advantage of the amazing self-cleansing properties of the merino wool and air out your clothing to regain a fresh feeling. If you must wash, here is a quick washing guide:

Pilling

Natural materials like wool tend to produce excess wool, also known as pilling. It is unavoidable when you use untreated, natural materials. However, there are several ways to remove excess pilling gently and easily. Simply brush the surface gently with a brush or comb.

Repair guides

Your clothing is a long-term investment, and a small repair can often extend the life of your garments by several years. See our different repair guides here.

Pass it on

When you no longer have use for your garment, pass it on to someone else. Many hours, hands, and resources go into the making of a garment and by donating, you are giving your unwanted clothes new life. There are many ways to do this. You can pass on your baby and kids’ clothing to the next generation or to friends. Another option is to donate to charity so others can benefit from using it.
