Silky-soft and breezy – our merino wool/silk products are incredibly lightweight and the fine, naturally temperature regulating properties of the merino wool fibres will keep you comfortable all year.Our merino wool/silk products have received an EXP treatment – an alternative to Superwash - without the use of chlorine, which encapsulates the itchy hairs of the merino wool and leaves the wool super soft and itch free. In addition, these products have medium stretchability, which means that the product will stretch when worn, but the wool fibres will contract again after wash.

Please note: The silk we use comes from China and is produced from the cocoon of the silkworm, which is processed and spun into yarn. To produce a long silk thread of the highest quality, the cocoon is boiled with the silkworms inside. If the worm emerges from its cocoon, the thread is bitten into short pieces, compromising the quality.A study from <a href="https://www.cambridge.org/core/journals/canadian-entomologist/article/is-it-pain-if-it-does-not-hurt-on-the-unlikelihood-of-insect-pain/9A60617352A45B15E25307F85FF2E8F2" target="_blank">Cambridge University</a> indicates that insects like the silkworm most likely do not experience any pain. However, we hope that we can use a variant where there is no doubt on the worm's welfare in the future. For the time being, the quantity of organic silk is unfortunately too small and the quality too low for us to offer it to our customers.

Wash with careDILLING’s wool is unique. Our wool is produced without chlorine and plastic (Superwash).To keep the wonderful, natural properties of the merino wool fibres intact, machine wash your wool clothing on a wool setting at 30°C (a low spin cycle of 800 is preferred) or hand wash in lukewarm water. Remember to always use wool detergent.If you handwash your wool, do not leave the wool clothing to soak as this will damage the wool fibres. Rinse in clean water. Do not wring. Instead, gently press the water out. Hang or lay your wool clothing to dry on a drying rack.

How to store your woolTo protect your woollen clothing from moths, wash them at the end of the season. When they are completely dry, store them in an airtight bag or box.&nbsp;

How to store your wool

The patch is 7 centimetres in diameter and can be used to repair your woollen clothing. It is made in our lightweight and fine merino wool/silk fibre composition which consists of 70% organic merino wool and 30% mulberry silk. Should you be unlucky and get a hole in your clothing from DILLING or the knees of your favourite leggings wear out, you can easily extend the items life by repairing it. You can choose a patch that matches in colour or be creative with different colours and qualities.
