The thoughts behind DILLING

At DILLING, we have had a love for wool since 1916. It’s a love based on feelings, values, and beliefs, embracing the honest and naturally imperfect features of wool.

In our eyes, wool should be allowed to be wool, a living material with many natural properties. Therefore, we treat the clothing gently and without harmful chemicals and heavy metals at our dyehouse in Denmark. This is our way of making quality clothing from organic natural materials with consideration for people and the environment.

All our choices lead back to the core which is you – our customer. You are at the centre of everything we do, and we know you have high expectations for us. That is why we are humble and grateful for every order you make.

We own most of the value chain ourselves, allowing us to take full responsibility for every step of our clothing’s journey. This gives us the assurance that the sheep have a good and safe life with plenty of space, and that the people working with the wool have good working conditions.

So where is each piece of clothing made, who made it, and how have the animals, wool, and people been treated along the way? We have the answers, and we are committed to sharing them honestly with you.

We work together towards the shared goal of dressing you comfortably in nature's own fibres with organic clothing that you can enjoy for many years to come.

This includes everyone across our sewing and cutting facility in Lithuania, our Danish dyehouse, and our headquarters and warehouse in Herning, Denmark. And of course, our other partners – including the sheep farmers in Argentina.

It is our passion for the natural imperfections of wool that connects DILLING's diverse group of people. We have different backgrounds, experiences, and skills – and we see our differences as our strength. We contribute with what we can and respect each other for who we are.

It is important for us to be open and honest – both with each other and, most importantly, with you.

In other words, honesty is what holds DILLING together. And we hope you'll keep us accountable to that.
