How to wash your woollen underwear

Sometimes wool can be hard to wash, but our simple instructions make it a lot easier.

1. Wash
Your woollen underwear can be washed by hand or in the machine, as long as you follow these instructions:

When hand washing: make sure the water is no warmer than 30 degrees and always use wool detergent. It is important that the wool is not left to soak.

When machine washing: Place the washing machine to a wool setting at 30o and always use a wool detergent. Do not leave your woollen underwear to sit in the machine after the wash.

2. Dry
When drying your woollen underwear, it is important not to wring it to get the water out. Before hanging it to dry, you may want to pull the clothing gently to prevent shrinkage. However, pay attention to the seams so you don’t stress them. You can then place your woollen underwear on a drying rack or hang it on a line. Never put it in the tumble dryer!
