Women's soft, exclusive merino wool leggings

These wool, single-knit leggings are exceptionally luxurious. Wool is the best material for active wear such as jogging or when on a skiing holiday. It absorbs moisture (33% of its own weight) ensuring your body stays dry. Additionally, the wool does not smell after use, making it more ideal for sports than synthetic materials such as polyester. The classic design with an elasticated black or grey waistband looks very good when combined with a matching exclusive wool top.

Care and washing instructions for merino wool:

Your woollen products from DILLING can be machine washed. It is however, important to wash all products on a wool programme with wool detergent to ensure the wool does not shrink.

The wool can also be washed by hand, but it may not be soaked.

To protect the woollen products from moths, they should be washed at the end of the season, then dried well and stored in a dark place, preferably in a tight plastic bag.

Quality description

Exclusive merino wool

Our exclusive merino wool is for you, if you would like to have a completely smooth and soft wool quality in a sporty design. This wool is of a particularly fine quality, made from an exceptionally thin thread. That makes this exclusive wool even softer than our organic merino wool – hence the designation of ‘exclusive’. The thinner the woolen thread you want, the higher the price. Therefore you will also find that the products made from exclusive merino wool are more expensive than those made from organic merino wool.

Our exclusive merino wool products are each knit from just one strand, which means that they are extremely smooth and dense, and that the fabric keeps its shape nicely when worn. This wool has undergone a “superwash” treatment, just as practically all other woolen underwear on the market. This is a treatment where you first remove the wool’s itchy hairs with chlorine, after which the wool fibres are covered with a film of resin (usually plastic). This is not good for the environment, but, on the other hand, you don’t need to be nearly as careful when washing. We still recommend, however, that all wool products are washed in a wool program at 30°C and with a wool detergent.

We are working on producing an organic variety of our exclusive merino wool. However, until that is possible, we have opted to keep it in our offering as is, since we have a lot of demand for such a fine but still strong type of wool.
