Men's soft wool/silk top

This men's t-shirt is made of an incredibly soft merino wool/silk blend. The silk makes this product a finer quality than DILLING's other wool garments, meaning it is comfortably light. The wool makes for fabric which both regulates temperature and wicks moisture away from the body, so it can be worn all-year round. The design is very classic and has a discreet embroidered DILLING logo on the left side.

Colour: Black

Material weight: 170 gr/m2

Material: 70% merino wool, 30% silk
Mulesing free wool: Yes

The silk used in our wool/silk clothing is not organic, but it does have the Oeko-tex certification which allows it to be used in a GOTS certified wool product.

Sizes: S/4, M/5, L/6, XL/7, XXL/8

Layers: Underwear

Unique about this product: The wool/silk blend means this top feels incredibly soft and light to wear.

Suitable for: This men's t-shirt is especially comfortable on the skin. The fabric is delightfully soft and the flat stitching means you won't see the sleeve edges if you wear this top underneath a shirt.

Care and washing instructions for merino wool:

Your woollen products from DILLING can be machine washed. It is however, important to wash all products on a wool programme with wool detergent to ensure the wool does not shrink.

The wool can also be washed by hand, but it may not be soaked.

To protect the woollen products from moths, they should be washed at the end of the season, then dried well and stored in a dark place, preferably in a tight plastic bag.

Quality description

Merino wool/silk

Our merino wool/silk blend is for you, if you would like to have a little extra luxury in your daily life. The silk makes the material the softest in our wool collection, and the lightest as well. Silk shares the natural ability of merino wool to absorb moisture and protect against both cold and overheating.

The knitting technique is a 1/1 rib, which means that the fabric is very flexible and can stretch when worn. And the clothing regains its original shape when washed. Products made from merino wool/silk blend can seem a little transparent, because of the thinness of the material. They have to be washed in a wool program at 30°C and with a wool detergent..

Be aware that this product is made from mulberry silk. This silk comes from China and is produced by silkworms. The silkworms’ cocoon are used to make yarn. To produce a long thread of a high quality the cocoons are boiled with the silkworms inside. Boiled silkworms are a delicacy in Asia and are eaten by local people. It would not be possible to produce the same high quality of silk if the moth was allowed to chew its way out first, since the thread would then be separated into many short threads. That is why this method is used.
